In this video we check out pinball FX2 VR which is now available for Playstation VR , Oculus rift and HTC VIVE.
It turns out pinball is really good in VR and though pinball FX2 VR is not Perfect its absolutely fantastic jumping in and playing some of there well designed tables with the ability to look around and really admire the table details.
A rundown of the good and bad pionts of PinballFX2 VR
GOOD
- Details look amazing in VR
- VR is the best way to play pinball on a PC
- Head tracking makes pinball in VR feel very natural
- Much more intuitive to hit the ball and aim it properly
- Fantastic clear graphics
- Awesome sound ( same as 2D game) but its very well done
- Loads fast and runs well ( they even have a gear VR version)
BAD
- Have to buy tables again even if you already own them in 2D
- Each version of the game is totally separate to each store..
- some parts of the interface can be a bit clunky
- Some of the room Effects distract to much from the table play
- Lack of camera adjustments
- Does not work with touch controllers
