I'm not here to judge people for having downloaded files. I have lots of them myself. a few movies, games, ebooks, whatever. we all come across this stuff on the web, and it's pretty hard to turn down sometimes. However, I really have an objection to these people who campaign to prove that theft is somehow altruistic or good because they are doing it for "preservation" First off, I don't believe that a tenth of them are actually historians or archivists, but just people who are using this tactic to justify morally grey behaviour. There are legitimate organizations out there dedicated to history and preservation, and the world does not need your hard drive full of illegal ROMs to preserve anything. Take it for what it's worth. I'm not going to change any minds here, I just needed to get this off my chest.
