{Pixel Art Games 2021} Dwerve Demo Gameplay & Review
24In this episode, I play the demo for upcoming pixel art indie game, DWERVE - a tower defense, dungeon crawler, Zelda-inprired, action RPG! Yay, Pixel Pete!
DWERVE is a genre-bending gaming experience, where Zelda meets Dungeon Warfare. Dwerve is a young dwarf who navigates the world and explores dungeons like most RPGs, except all combat plays out like a tower defense game, placing traps and turrets to even the odds against waves of enemies.
After a brief look at the lore and story, I dig (as deep as dwareves) into the gameplay mechanics of the demo that makes DWERVE the fun, beautiful, challenging, and refreshing experience you didn't know you needed. Topics include turrets and traps, battles and strategy, and other weapons and collectables.

DWERVE had a very sucessful Kickstarter Campaign and is on its way to release. Consider supporting them by wishlisting it on Steam, even if you plan on picking it up on the Nintendo Switch. I can't wait to get my copy!
