The Pixel Remasters of Final Fantasy 1-6 came out on Switch and PS4 recently. Updated with cleaner spritework and colors, some quality of life changes, and boosts to make the experience more customizable lead to these being great ways to experience the series in its 2D origins.
I intend to play all of the games, but not at the same time. I'll basically be playing them between releases of bigger games, as otherwise I would become very burned out.
