This is a piece I began composing in 2018 after participating in the Iowa Ambassadors of Music tour across Europe. In Switzerland I had the thought that I might be able to write my own concert band music - my only experience with music up to that point being very limited songwriting experience in a completely separate genre. I asked my band teacher, if I wrote something, if we could play it in band if it was good enough. He tentatively gave me the go ahead... Unfortunately it took me until I was in college to actually get around to finishing it!

I always said I'd format it to be human readable and fix all of the things I did because I didn't know better but I've come to accept that I'll probably never get around to cleaning it up and finally, over six years after I first started working on this, I figured I'd finally let it see the light of day. My first (and thus far only) composition for concert band - The Grand Adventure!
