A not-so-brief, yet overly thorough preview and first impression commentary of the proposed major changes to bio labs that are currently on test with phase 1 of the optimization patch. Please keep in mind that it is only the test server, it is there for feedback, and it doesn't mean that this will go live as is. Like or dislike something? Brief overview:

I talk about optimization and the new centralized HUD for a short while at the start of the video. Optimization seems to be going great so far, and while I would get used to the centralized HUD if I had to, I can't help but prefer the old design, or at least the fact that it was easier to tell how much of a given "bar" I had left, rather than the wave-like patterns that are currently used in an almost arbitrary fashion. Hoping some minor adjustments are made so it's a little easier to gauge if you've got 50% ammo or 75% health left, and so forth.

I also go on to review the new bio lab in its entirety, in detail. The short version is to say that I love almost all of it. The new cover and the fact that it seems like things will be less likely to be camped or spammed by explosives and the like from afar are great. I love the infantry areas that it attempts to create at various objectives, while detaching the "staging area" from the center of the chaos, in hopes that spawns will get camped less. The only thing I dislike, and I dislike it a lot, is the implementation of the new spawn design, mostly the fact that you've got a very lengthy, frustrating, unintuitive, and unnecessary run back to the fight every time you die. Hopefully this will be remedied, as I think the rest looks and feels great! What are your thoughts?

*NOTE*: I neglected to realize/mention (thanks Clegg!) that they added a spawn camping prevention roof above the back teleporter room (16:20) as well. Really glad to see it, as this was always a problematic spot. Here is a link to screenshots of it: http://imgur.com/a/9vkDH
