So some takeaways from this stuff. I play MAX differently than what you would argue the "meta" is. If you listened to the reddit for the NC max they'd say "Take EOD you are going to die to explosions" "Use gorgons scattercannons are crap" and to that I say, you need to experiment with other stuff sometimes because other implants/suit slots might fit your playstyle better.

I run nanite auto repair and the default scattercannons with extended mags, and they still have a little punch to range. Salvage is nice as well, killing a MAX grants bonus HP. This is kind of my go-to strategy of movement when using the NC MAX. You ambush people like you are using a pump shotgun, you try not to get noticed, and you try not to move on engagements face to face - and when you do you get pumped full of bullets, not explosives. This works really good when its indoors and when your enemies aren't MLG heavy mains with decimators for hands!
