Play Ghouls 'N Ghosts & Ghosts 'N Goblins ON YOUR DESK!
24New Wave Toys has some of the most incredible arcade cabinets available for purchase, and at 1/6 scale they can fit just about anywhere. They just announced two of their latest cabinets, and they are classics from Capcom in Ghouls n Ghosts and Ghosts n Goblins. Let's take a look at what we know about the latest in the X Replicade family of cabinets.
It looks like New Wave Toys has added some new features to these new cabinets in terms of both quality and scale detail. They have added a new Coin-Op Feature, where you can insert mini coins for credits. That's right, it appears that the coin slots on the front of the cabinets both now actually take actual tokens, there's even a bucket inside the door to collect your tokens. That's pretty cool. They've also added a faux braided power cable, refined visuals, and more.
Let's talk about the visuals as New Way Toys has come up with a new lens they call CRT-FX 2.0. They refined their original CRT-FX lens with a reduced curvature plus added an anti-reflection surface coating to reduce distortion, glare & ambient light reflections. In practice, it sounds like a terrific experience.
One of the cool things is you can get both cabinets together in a two-pack, or individually. Both feature arcade-accurate artwork on the sides, lit marquees, control decks, and more. Both cabinets are loaded with both games, so if you go with the Ghost 'n Goblins artwork you will get Ghosts 'n Goblins and Ghouls 'n Ghosts, and if you go with Ghouls 'n Ghosts you get the same.
New Wave Toys always works extremely hard on the accuracy of the play experience on their cabinets. These two cabinets look to be no different as they both feature arcade-accurate ROMs provided by Capcom. That's another thing, these are officially licensed and endorsed by Capcom so you know the quality will be there.
Pre-orders are open now through April 15, 2023. They anticipate shipping both cabinets around October 2023, right around Halloween. And again, you can either get one or the other, or there is a slight saving if you pick up both in the combo package.
