Playing Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth in 2024 Part One
Please watch in HD for the highest available quality.
Out of all Digimon games, this one is definitely the best ones in a long time. To be honest, I never played a Digimon game at all in my childhood so this game is the first one I've played. While it is similar to Persona games in terms of character designs and theme, the gameplay and story is more in common with the Shin Megami Tensei games. Speaking of gameplay, the combat is somewhat unique as the turns depend on the overall "speed" (which isn't the same as Agility, Accuracy, or Evasion) of the active Digimon in your party and speed is used up whenever Skills are used, especially the Special Skills so your team will be slightly lower one the timeline once your turn ends. Other than that, it's your standard JRPG turn-based combat system that is quite decent.
If you enjoy a lot of turn-based Japanese Role-Playing Games especially JPRGs in the Megami Tensei series and/or a huge Digimon fan, give this game a try whenever possible. You might be surprised on how solid this game is.
