This is a condensed highlight-reel version of the very first part of my very first let's play! Mλgnetism (Erasmus Magnus) decided it would be a fun project to take on and so here we are! I am super grateful, because this is the kind of thing I've always wanted to do, but never had time. They may have also injected a bit of their own commentary in there, as well, although I didn't ASK for that part.... ;)

This is, as those of you who know my work and have seen the full length version know, a blind playthrough that focuses far more on story than action. Mostly because, y'know, I'm not the best at the whole...action...part. Especially not back then.

For those of you seeing this for the first time, hi! I'm SoldierHawk. Although I have a much better microphone and video capture software now (this footage is from ten years ago and was my first attempt at recording!) I still think this holds up pretty well, especially with the fat trimmed out. I tend to fixate on details in my playthroughs, especially details that have to do with story, literature and (especially back in '09) the military. I love literature, even taught it for a while--which is how I happened to know who the hell Mark Laidlaw was despite having no idea he...you know...wrote...this...game.

If there's anything that encapsulates the crux of a Soldierhawk video, it's probably that: accidentally stumbling into the information you need through a combination of random unrelated skills and blind luck.
