Splinterlands is a play to earn collectible card game similar to an auto-battler where u set up a team that consists of a summoner card and monster cards and then u let them all battle it out on their own . lotsa fun ! u can play for free but u can earn more by buying a $10 spellbook which unlocks DEC tokens , ranked matches , trading cards in the marketplace , etc . the spellbook is needed for the 365-day daily SPS token airdrops while not needed if u just wanna stake the SPS tokens in-game

why is this listed as a viable play-to-earn method ? cuz there's no other nft game that has built a vast following from 2017/2018 , where their players r generous enuff to hold challenges and tournaments . not even the vast following of Axie Infinity who has also been around since 2017 does this , if they do , it's sorely limited .
in Splinterlands , u can easily transfer SPS or DEC tokens between players and this allows the whole community to share the wealth , a new concept known as community revenue or global revenue as opposed to individual revenue , business revenue , or national revenue .
