This is a Metroidvania/rogue-like with a twist, being that if you die, your children carry on the mission and have some kind of genetic handicap. It's a pretty clever idea, I've never played anything like it, and I'm glad I finally did after all these years! It's really fun, and just the right amount of difficulty to not be unfair. That said, those canvas enemies can kindly fuck right off...
