Welcome to #playinghardball
We are playing Surviving Mars.

Let's Play / playthrough / walkthrough / English / PC Game / strategy game / city builder / sandbox / economic simulation / colonization of Mars / Science Fiction / SciFi / space

The PC game Surviving Mars was developed by Haemimont Games and published by Paradox Interactive in 2018. The makers of the Tropico series were involved. The game's goal is to establish a functioning colony on Mars. The maps are based on actual photo footage of Mars made by NASA. Different economic issues have to be solved and the colonists' needs have to be met for the colony to work.

This game is a nice simulation of a project that humanity inevitably will take on if it survives long enough. Insofar the game is of high relevance and also raises important questions for all of us. The game was favourably received. If it will hold up to standards of #playinghardball, we will see.

As in all Let's Plays on #playinghardball we will follow a certain role-playing approach to the game and create our own narrative.
Enjoy and please don't hesitate to share your thoughts.
