Playstation Classic - ScummVM - MT-32 & NES MIDI Sound Swapping Redux!
I did a demonstration of the WIP Sound Swapping of the Default Sound, in lieu of MT-32 (Higher Quality Synthesizer Style Roland Sound Samples, complete with Real Instruments and Percussion!) & NES Chiptune stylized awesomeness in my prior ScummVM video. Nava and myself have updated things considerably for the Final Release, which will go out Tuesday the 20th, for the Mini Classics, including NES/SNES/PSC:) You will have 4 different ways to run ScummVM music, Default, Pseudo MT-32, NES Chiptune Style, and Full CD Soundtrack Replacements!
Some of the legacy of Point and Click games harkens back to the origins of the true trial and error game play of the untouchable Don Bluth's Dragon's Lair, of which I am a huge fan of! I showcase some Dragon's Lair for a bit of the video, as well as my first taste of Dragon's Lair outside the Arcades!
Last, but not least, one of my obscure and favorite versions of Shadowgate, and a special, and truly kickass mash-up of Metal Gear and Pac-Man, which is quite fun to check out for nostalgic gamers!
Enjoy the Video!
Personal thanks to Nava, madmonkey, Beylie, original ScummVM Developers, Libretro ScummVM Developers, and anyone else who has ever touched ScummVM, whatsoever!
P.S. There is a chance we may have Blade Runner running on ScummVM in the future:)
P.S.S. I will showcase more Pac-Man/Metal Gear Mash-Up and Shadowgate in follow-up videos!
