Developed by Tengo Project and published by Natsume-Atari, Pocky & Rocky Reshrined is a sequel to the SNES classic. A scrolling shooter where you play as the titular duo, battling your way through eight, tough as nails levels as you try to defeat the ultimate evil that curses the land, Black Mantle.
The game was tough for me. Very difficult but fun throughout. They really made me work for the victory here. The sprite work is beautiful and the music hits just right. There's an even harder difficulty mode for those of you who are insane. Also, there is an easier mode if you find the base difficulty too much and I won't blame you for choosing that route. I recommend this game to anyone who was a fan of the Super Nintendo original or who enjoy tough shoot em' ups.
