If you have an item with at least one extremely good suffix that can't be rolled under normal circumstances, including but not limited to Incursion mods, and no bad suffixes, Eldritch crafting with the new, 'fairly rare but not overwhelmingly rare' Eldritch Chaos Orb provides lots of tools to massively improve these items.
Even in SSF you can come across a lot of incursion mod items via Atlas passives. In trade, you can get even better ones.
I've not yet confirmed whether the new orbs respect metamods, but they do seem to so far.
Fair warning: Applying Eldritch implicits permanently prevents items gaining older forms of influence and related mods. You'll have to decide whether this is worth it or not.
