Ok. Some people are aware that I've been working on a Pokémon fan game. It's actually a collaborative work between myself and another friend of mine who wishes to remain anonymous right now. Dunno why, but I'll respect his wishes.

Anyways, this little video shows the current progress on the game so far. Seemless map transitions from towns to routes, entering buildings with appropriate fade-out-fade-in effects, and the beginnings of pokemon battles. Smaller effects like grass movement have been put in.

So far, we have Azure Ridge City, where this game will start, Route 1 (which will likely be renamed, as I never liked bland named routes), and Blue Leaf Village, a town which one of the game's rival trainers will call his home. Azure Ridge City is the first place we began designing, but since it's supposed to be a BIG city (think Goldenrod but bigger) it's still not finished.

The game follows in the footsteps of Andrea Dennison, a young and smart but severely unconfident 19 year old. Over the course of the game, her character and personality will develop as she triumphs over several obstacles and adventures. The finer details of who she is, why she's starting her journey and what it will take her through are under development at this time. This game is currently planned to have only her as a main character, with no choice of a male trainer.

Some technical specs:
320x224 screen resolution. A little unconventional, but hey, it works.
60 frames per second. The choppiness of the video kinda ruins that though.
FireRed/LeafGreen graphics. Eventually some custom graphics may be thrown in.

What this game is NOT:
This is NOT an attempt to be terrible.
This is NOT an attempt at bad storytelling.
This will NOT feature new, custom pokemon like Pikasaur or Eeveezard.
This is NOT a sappy romance story with pokemon tacked on the side.

And finally. WE DO NOT, repeat, NOT promise that this will be finished. I myself have never come close to releasing any projects of mine, and neither has my team mate. This is more or less to give ourselves something to do during our free time so that we don't waste it by being douchebags to society. With that said, please don't message me or my colleague about releases, as they will be IGNORED.
