*PINECO'S PERIL*

I battled this person once before, and he used Golem as a lead then. I didn't think he'd use it to lead for the second match, so I chose to lead with Pineco to try out a different strategy. Well, guess who I saw first? Golem! And I didn't bring Sandshrew to take a heavy Rock-type hit. This pretty much confirms that unless I'm against another baby team or another Trick Room team, I will always lead with Spoink. Otherwise, it's just an uphill battle. I might try the Pineco lead again in another situation, but I don't know yet.

You get to see Grimer face off against Vespiquen here. Vespiquen is one bulky bee, so I was impressed to see even a critical Fire Punch do so much damage to her. A burn would've been nice, but you can't ask for it all. Spoink would've been great to have around to take on Vespiquen, but I have a very difficult time determining the speed of slow Pokemon compared to my bebes.

In my opinion, the first battle I had against this person was better. Poor Grimer couldn't catch a break in either. My opponent's team was great, though. I enjoyed both battles very much.


I chose - Pineco, Spoink, and Grimer

Furūtsu chose - Golem, Vespiquen, and a mystery third.
