Phenac City is my favourite area from Pokémon Colosseum because the music there is very calm, and I do remember that the first Shadow Pokémon can be caught there, I'm not going to tell you when it happens, watch this video to see where it is. If you fail to catch a Shadow Pokémon, don't worry about it, you can battle that person again till you finally catch it. Another thing I heard about is when catching Shadow Pokémon you can even perform the Ball Glitch so you don't have to waste any Pokéballs.
