Long time-fans might remember this matchup because I already made a battle like this 3 years ago. Back then, Silver won without breaking a sweat since the team I used for Giovanni was more than outdated (I used his team from Pokemon Yellow since it is technically his strongest because they had the highest levels). This time, I decided to update it a bit by giving his team the levels from Yellow and the attacks from BW2. With the exception of Persian since for some reason they got rid of it in Gen 5. Since I didn't want to get rid of his most memorable team member, I decided to give it the moveset it used in the anime. And voila, Giovanni now has a team that stands a chance against his son. It still won't be easy though, Silver's Alakazam and Feraligatr are still very deadly for Giovanni's team. Can the crime boss overcome his son or is it time for him to retire for good? Let's find out!
