Looks like these remakes were going to take some further music cues from their Gen 1 predecessors at one point. I got to admit, the generic trainer battle music for the Elite Four kind of kills the tension these battles are supposed to bring despite it being a carryover from Gen 1, so I'm pretty glad they gave all of them the Gym Leader battle theme instead of just Lance.

Maybe this is a sign of things to come whenever I get to the postgame?
