Welcome to the first episode of our randomized nuzlocke VERSUS with Pokemon Red and Blue! In this series we're racing to see who can finish the game first while playing with randomized Pokemon and Nuzlocke rules specified below:
Randomizer Set:
1. All Pokemon 100% randomized in each location.
2. Specific Pokemon are NOT randomized to other specific Pokemon (Ex: A Pidgey on two different routes will not be randomized into the same new pokemon)
3. Specific Pokemon ARE randomized to evolve into other specific Pokemon (Ex: if an Abra evolves into Chansey, all Abra will evolve into Chansey)
4. Pokemon learn moves at the same levels they would normally, but moves are randomized as well as TM compatibility
5. TMs can be any move in the game.
6. All HMs are compatible with all Pokemon
Nuzlocke Rules:
1. You must nickname every Pokemon You catch.
2. If a Pokemon faints, it is considered "dead" and you must box it.
3. You may only catch the first Pokemon you encounter in every new route or area. However, you are allowed to find another encounter if you run into a duplicate Pokemon that you have already caught. You can also catch and or receive any in-game event based Pokemon, regardless of the route or area in which you receive them. (Legendary Pokemon, Gift Pokemon etc).
Special Versus Rules:
1. If all of the Pokemon in your party faint during a battle, you do not lose like normally and are instead allowed to used living boxed Pokemon
2. You may revive a single Pokemon (outside of battle) in the entire game. Only the most recently killed Pokemon can be revived even if multiple Pokemon are beaten in a single battle.
Donation Elimination/Rejuvination:
$1 - Nickname Next Pokemon (Sponsors have priority)
$5 - One/Both players cannot catch next Pokemon on current/upcoming route/area
$10 - Kill/Revive 1 Pokemon for one/both players
$20 - Kill/Revive 3 Pokemon for one/both players
$40 - Kill/Revive 6 Pokemon for one/both players
$50 - Kill/Revive ALL Pokemon for both players (New Game)
