Your Rival: Blue will stop you for your first Pokémon Battle.

After your First Battle Go to the next city and go to the mart and pick up Oak’s Parcel and go back to Pallet Town and give it to Prof. Oak his grandson will come and give you and his grandson a Pokédex

After leave Oak Lab go your Rival House and his sister will give you a Town Map ( You can go home and rest and heal your Pokémon) with that your journey begins.
