Pokemon Rumble Blast any% World Record (3:26:07)
4After spending a couple months optimizing a route for my favorite pokemon game, I finally got a run I was somewhat happy with! Did not expect a sub 3:30 to come out of it after being +6 going into 4-3! There's definitely still a lot of time save that can come from this though, my world 2 and start of world 4 were both awful rng wise.
In the bottom left you can see the (approximate) sum of the best 9/16/25 pokemon in my party, this is done using a small matlab function I wrote and is the reason you can hear the windows error noise multiple times within the video (sorry, it helped me go faster). With it I was able to more accurately farm for the charge battles without wasting time with enough total power (I misread my 2-4 charge battle so I lost some time there as well).
Hopefully I will revisit this over the summer and try and lower the time even more, my sum of best is 2:49:29 which is definitely never happening but who knows, maybe sub 3 hours will be a reality some day.
