Pokemon The Teal Mask but I can only use SHINIES!
445Hello Wayfarers! This is a SHINY Pokemon only challenge in Pokemon Scarlet: The Teal Mask DLC, in the region of Kitakami. I had a LOT of fun in this video and I hope that you enjoy all of the various shiny Pokemon we caught, as well as the story we experienced along the way!
Scarlet & Violet are two Pokemon games that I’ve had a rollercoaster experience with since their release. When I first bought a copy in 2022, they became the only set of games in my 25 years of playing Pokemon that I actually disliked, but during my shiny only challenge in 2023, I came to really appreciate the stories they had to tell, how likeable the characters were, and their music & Pokemon designs. And yes, while the performance issues & overall empty open world still frustrated me, I finished that challenge with a newfound respect for this generation of Pokemon. Butttt I wasn't super eager to go back to Paldea, and I also wasn’t sure that I’d ever get around to playing the DLC. So, you’re probably wondering how we got here, and to be honest, so am I. I genuinely didn’t plan on making this into a shiny only run or even a video, because I was mainly using this DLC as a sanity break from my Pokemon Shield run, by live streaming parts of it in between that challenge. But something happened during the course of those streams… and The Teal Mask became one of my favourite Pokemon journeys of all time. So, with that in mind, please enjoy The Teal Mask DLC but I can only use SHINIES.
