Pokémon Violet - Unrivaled Mewtwo 7-Star Crystal Raid Co-Op
With the Mewtwo raid out, many have figured out that it wasn't going to be a walk in the park, even if you use a Mew which will get a 50% boost to HP and 20% boost to other stats. I can't imagine this being done solo right off the bat, so I was able to use a second switch and team up with two friends (one of them being @CollectorTogami ) to take it down, and a support Mew was absolutely needed.
My plan was to spam Mud Slap so most of Mewtwo's Psystrikes would miss as we use Struggle Bug and Acid Spray to lower its boosted Special Attack and Special Defense. Once ten turns pass, Mewtwo will remove negative effects from itself, so two Mews should focus on Mud Slap again while the others do Struggle Bug or a support move.
As you get closer to half health, the support Mew should set up Electric Terrain. If you do not do this, Mewtwo will Rest to restore its HP as it once again remove negative effects from itself. With it unable to restore its HP, we were finally able to finally take out Mewtwo after a long battle. With it, I was able to catch Mewtwo and my Ribbon Master Mew from my Japanese copy of Emerald was able to obtain the Mightiest Mark.
Of course, we came up with this idea as people were thinking up of ideas. It seems that a physical based Mew where it uses Swords Dance and Leech Life could be very effective as well.
