So Team Rocket just has a recruitment operation literally a few steps north of Cerulean city and the police in the town are clueless...The funny thing is is that that's not the worst the police will be in this game.
Also people just have gold nuggets that they give away in this universe. Or you can find perfectly pure gold nuggets on the ground if you look hard enough...I wonder what the implications of that are.

At least it's not like in black 2/white 2 where people just happen to bring gold nuggets and big pearls into a movie theater...
