Well if I told you his unchained genius would create a game about being a courier hiking across a comically truncated version of the United States (you can walk from what was the D.C. area to the heartland in about 30 minutes or less) with a prematurely born baby in a jar on your chest managing everything from cargo weight and condition, to the courier's balance and bladder to deliver said cargo all while sneaking past ghosts that will essentially create a devastating explosion if they kill you and crazed former delivery men who want to steal your packages....would you have believed me?

Because that's, in short, what Death Stranding is.

Of course it's also a game about the importance of human connection and how we lose ourselves when we aren't part of a group...trust me if you don't understand that now the game will repeatedly tell you about it.  To describe the metaphors and themes of this game as "unsubtle" really, really, rrrreeeeeaaaalllllyyyyy under sells it.

But is it fun?
