Popular News Anchor Loses Job After Letting Hair Grow Gray
The firing of a Canadian news anchor, Lisa LaFlamme from CTV News, is sparking controversy online and companies are making statements on aging.
LaFlamme, chief news anchor and senior editor for the network, was let go after 35 years, according to a release.
Bell Media has not directly said why they parted ways with LaFlamme, but she was released after she let her hair go gray.
LaFlamme announced her departure on social media, saying she was "blindsided" and is "still shocked and saddened" by the decision.
