Portal 2 - Phase 1 - sp_a2_sphere_peek - Route - Update 1
This was done in 3 segments:
The first segment is simply shooting the orange portal onto the far floor near the cube drop area.
The second segment I changed quite a bit. I saw TLoZSR's route, which was basically a slightly more optimized version of my original route. I used his fling after hitting the button to drop the cube. I discovered that you can actually just toss the cube in a certain way and it will 'roll' to the correct orientation. It isn't as random as it looks. Getting the position of the cube is the difficult part. I shoot the 2 portals to have them in place for the 3rd segment.
The third I jump through the orange portal (it is possible to do without jumping, but is more difficult to make the next shot), pop out of it, shoot the slanted wall and spin my orientation around. Then, as I come out of the slanted portal, I shoot the orange portal onto the wall were the laser is facing. This saves time from going around once I am up top to shoot that portal. Then, I connect the laser to the relay by shooting the blue portal on the wall that I can see. After I was LiveStreaming this, 00Svo found a way to make the ending slightly faster using the laser to burn you, but I didn't want to attempt it yet because it is quite difficult to do.
