Welcome to The Couch Knights' Let's Play of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Our heroes will be playing as the aptly named Spot, a man who is already dead, but is found later to be still alive, kicking, and spouting thunder bolts at will.
Amalur is a land that is preordained by what is known as the tapestry of fate, in which, all lives are given a predetermined origin, purpose, and terminus. But it is found that our main character not only exists apart from this tapestry, but can also alter lives within it, and manipulate the tapestry's threads to manifest powerful weapons.
Like many RPG's, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning utilizes a character class system. There are three main classes, Warrior, Mage, and Rogue, that all have upgradable perks depending on how the character's abilities are selected, there are also three hybrid classes which act as a combination of any two with some unique abilities thrown in, and lastly there is a jack-of-all-trades class for those who have a knack for everything. There are also a total of 9 weapon types that can be used in the game, 3 for each character class, that each have different strengths and weaknesses.
