Oh the memories...

When I was just 4-7 years old, my favorite website would be "supermariobrothers.org", a website by the Super Mario Brothers X Team before it was shut down by Nintendo in 2012 so that Nintendo may use the domain name.

I was just starting to be a Mario fan as my younger brother was a bigger gamer than I was, and he introduced me to this website, I had asked him about "Super Mario RPG: Rawest Forest", he told me that it wasn't a game.

I would later watch this video and was absolutely mesmerized, it introduced me to Super Mario RPG as a game and it wasn't that long after that YouTube's "Let's Play" craze was starting, and Chuggaaconroy uploaded his Super Mario RPG Let's Play, after I was finished watching it, I instantly asked my mom to put some Nintendo Points on the Wii Shop channel so that I may buy Super Mario RPG, and I've been a fan of this game ever since.

There will be nothing like the early internet days. Before artists ruined it by introducing DMCA, before YouTube became so corporate, and when you were using Internet Explorer and found out about Google and everything became so much better. Without sounding like I'm talking down upon today's generation, some of which also include my generation, I mean it with 100% certainty that the future generations of this world will never understand how amazing the internet used to be. And it's absolutely painful that all of our memories are slowly being washed away with only the WayBackMachine to save them.

This video is being uploaded as a Time Capsule, even it wasn't recorded back in 2007-2012, I did everything in my power to make it feel like it was. No copyright infringement is intended and I will be giving credit in the description.

Credit goes to the Super Mario Brothers X Team for this now defunct website, as well as Kirbopher for the being the creator of the music video shown, and to Martin "Marta" Hagwell for being the creator of the song in question.

If the video shown looks smoother than normal, that's because it was shown in its native software known as Flash, a defunct creating tool used to create this video. No such raw High Quality mp4 file of this video exists, and is only possible to view in its smoothest form using a flash emulator.

Flash gave us so many amazing videos such as Rawest Forest and Ignorance is Bliss. Two videos that are my childhood incarnate. Obsessions of mine that me being on the spectrum (also known as Autism) only exacerbated. I get that feeling in my stomach and goosebumps all over my body just thinking of the memories and even watching the videos today on YouTube. That's how powerful the internet was back in the day. Hopefully I'm proven wrong, but this generation will never get that same feeling.

I'm 19 now, I'm an adult who obsesses what younger me used to obsess on. These are the memories who have made me who I am. I sincerely hope that anybody watching this video and relates to it is here to share this bond that we all deserve to.
