Spooks!

montyy, a multiaccount of some old and good ladder player, faces Estrada, also known as ShadowVeil.

Map: Tombs of Kesorak
Era: Ladder Era (not Default Era)

The Undead faction got quite a few buffs in Ladder Era, especially against Knalga, they got ghost cost reduction by 1, dwarves footpad melee attack damage type was changed from impact to blade (And the damage was increased by 1, but it is still a general nerf vs Undead because of skeletons' impact vulnerability and blade resistance), but I think the buff that really makes the ghosts so powerful in this matchup is the change of ulfserker's arcane resistance from 10% to -20%, this basically means that a non-strong ulf will almost never win against a ghost, even at day, because of it's increased life drain against it. Most strong ulfs can have some chance of winning against it at day if they attack from 40% defense, but even then the ghost has to be injured for the chance to be above 50%, and to even get strong ulfs you need a bit of luck when recruiting.
With the nerf ghosts can have an easy time tanking and holding the line against dwarves, even during day, with little risk of them dying, best chance would be to hope to hit them 2/2 with a gryphon, dealing around 10 damage depending on traits and ghost hits, and then follow up with another gryphon and too hope for 2/2, or 1/2 if you get really lucky with the first gryphon, still trying to kill it with an ulf will have very low chance, even with a strong one, and even if it is damaged, unless maybe there is a hill next to it, then the chance can be over 50%, but it would still require some luck. 2 thunderers would need quite a lot luck to kill a ghost too, and they aren't very good against any other undead unit.
The dwarf got a bit unlucky, but the game is still a good demonstration of what the ghosts are now capable of.

The ulf's resistance nerf makes ghost extremely powerful vs dwarves, too powerful in my opinion.
