Power Outage & Facebook Marketplace Macy's Scams
3Discussion about scams from one of our livestreams while I was playing Lost Ark. All of the images from the video were submitted with a report to the FCC (https://www.fcc.gov/general/frauds-scams-and-alerts-guides).
We also submitted all of this information to the fraud department for the credit card company. From what I can tell the websites that were being used for those marketplace ads are no longer operational. But you could likely find more copycats with ease by simply looking on Facebook Marketplace.
This stuff is only going to get worse as AI gets brought in to screw with older generations that didn't grow up with the Internet.
