Practicing Scales for Dexterity (for Beginners)

Basically, in THIS video I choose A Ionian, but you can choose whatever scale you'd like to practice homegirl
1. Find a metronome, set a tempo that works FOR YOU
(make the sound something you won't be annoyed by)
2. Tune up
(find a nice effect for your instrument you won't be annoyed by)
3. Pick a scale; in THIS video I choose Ionian/Major, but chose whichever
4. [1:27] 2 Octaves up & back down, in 1/4 notes and in 1/8 notes.
(In THIS video I start in A but pick whatever root you'd like)
5. [1:56] The "rewind" kinda pattern.
(Steps up 4 scale degrees then jumps down a third)
6. [2:59] The "jump-ahead" pattern jawn.
(Goes up a third and steps back down)
