The title will make complete 100% sense throughout this playthrough as a whole. Trust me on this.

I have a new playthrough set that for everyone (heaven help you all). However, this time, this playthough was requested by GalliaCrusader (a.k.a. the YouTuber formerly known as SoraXNagisa... meaningful name, much?). The full title of the game is called "Futari wa Precure Max Heart: Maji? Maji!? Fight de IN Janai" for the Gameboy Advance, but the shortened "Precure Max Heart" will suffice. Originally, I wanted to do this later so that I can see the source material before playing so I can be more familar with the setting of the world of Pretty Cure as not to insult the actual fans while playing the game. However, due to a "timing situation" that Sora is in, I'm doing this now as a favor. Not to mention this is my first attempt in doing a playthrough with the VisualBoy Advance emulator, and all the "fun" that brings in recording gameplay. So point the torches and pitchforks at him for this inevitable trainwreck of a playthrough (seriously, I'm joking).

This game is a simple Beat 'Em Up where you play as the three heroines of the Precure Max Heart storyline: Misumi Nagisa, Yukishiro Honoka, and Kujou Hikari. They fight enemies, known as Zakennas, in an amusment park that is filled to the brim with them. Your objective is to get rid of all of them (or as much as you can) and return the amusement park back to its normal and peaceful state.

The gameplay is extremely basic. Each girl has the same set of attacks: a three-hit combo attack, a stationary jump kick, and a long distance "lunge kick" (for a lack of a better name). They also have the ability to scale up walls by tapping the jump button again near a wall and holding it to jump from wall to wall. (NOTE: I failed to mention this in the video, so my apologies.) It's graphics is very bright and colorful, but it's probably to be expected considering the source material if my guess is accurate. The music isn't all that much to write home about. There's probably one theme that really caught my attention while the others are forgettable. It's not a bad soundtrack, per se. It's just really average yet fitting for the game's amusement park backdrop. Overall, I say that the game is okay. For its minimalist style, it plays really solid, but with the addition of searching for items, it can also play a bit longer that it probably should (which is one reason why the videos are going to be so frickin' long).

So, the way I'm going to do this playthrough is that I plan to do a full stage per video. This means there will be four videos in all as there are four stages altogether, but these stages contains four levels each containing four segments which includes a bonus stage (always the second segment), a mini-boss segment (always third), and "House Gifts" to find. Thus, there is a pretty decent amount of content to find. That being said, this is going to be a 100% item completion run that collects all House Gifts and completes all bonus stages.

This playthrough will also contain commentary as it was requested along with the playthrough. I will say this, if some of you hated my commentary from back then, I will probably assure you that this may be THE absolute worst I may have done, but I'm a man who tries to fulfill his promises... despite the horrible, horrible results. *cough*

Anyway, as a final word of warning, this playthrough will contain audio clipping throughout the run. It was unavoidable as I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it in the VBA, so my apologies, yet again. I guess that this takes care of everything for now, so hope you enjoy this mess of a playthrough. Or at the very least endure it for a few minutes before sufferring from your own version of G.A.D.D. Whichever comes first.
