Prey is a 2022 American sci-fi activity film in the Hunter establishment. It is the fifth portion and is a prequel to the initial four movies, being set in the Northern Extraordinary Fields in 1719. The movie is coordinated by Dan Trachtenberg and composed by Patrick Aison. It stars Golden Midthunder, Dakota Beavers, Dane DiLiegro, Michelle Thrush, Stormee Kipp, Julian Dark Impala, and Bennett Taylor. The story spins around Naru, a gifted Comanche fighter, who is endeavoring to show what her can do as a tracker. She ends up shielding her kin from a horrible, humanoid outsider that chases people for sport, as well as from French fur dealers who are obliterating the bison they depend on for endurance.
Improvement of the film started during the creation of The Hunter (2018), when maker John Davis was drawn nearer by Trachtenberg and Aison, with an idea that they had been creating starting around 2016. In late 2020, the film's title was uncovered to be the codename for the fifth portion in the establishment. Shooting occurred around Calgary throughout the mid year of 2021, with the whole film shot in English and a few groupings shot in Comanche too. The excess groupings were named into Comanche by the cast, repeating their roles.[4] The film is the main element film to have a full Comanche language dub.[1]
Prey debuted at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 21, 2022, and was delivered by twentieth Century Studios as a Hulu unique film in the US and on Disney+ Star globally on August 5. The movie got positive audits from pundits, with acclaim for its activity groupings, Midthunder's exhibition, cinematography, Trachtenberg's heading, and the Native projecting, with numerous pundits calling it the best Hunter portion starting from the first film.[5][6]
