In today's video we are taking a look at #prey on the #steamdeck. Prey is an immersive sim video game developed by Arkane Austin. It was released worldwide on 5 May 2017, for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One.

The game takes place in an alternate timeline in which an accelerated Space Race resulted in humankind taking to orbital stations far earlier. The player controls Morgan Yu while exploring the space station Talos I, in orbit around Earth–Moon L2, where they were part of a scientific team researching the Typhon, a hostile alien force composed of many forms with both physical and psychic powers, such as shapeshifting into a clone of any inanimate object

Prey runs absolutely amazing on the Steam Deck, despite being not so old. You can pretty much run it at Ultra Graphics and 60 FPS, but only at a limited battery life of around 1:30-1:40 hours.

Reducing some graphics options can increase battery life to more than 2 hours. Prey supports controller natively and it's a pretty enjoyable experience on the Steam Deck.
