Today we are checking out No Man's Sky on the Steam Deck. The game runs almost at 60 FPS, but only at the lowest settings and with motion blur disabled. I benchmarked various different settings and checked the Steam Deck FSR system by lowering in-game resolution. This did not result in any improvement and the game still stuttered to below 50 FPS sometimes. I also tested No Man's Sky FSR 2.0 on the Steam Deck and it resulted in some weird artefacts as you will see in the video. FXAA seems to yield much better results.

No Man's Sky on the Steam Deck at 60 FPS will run for about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Reducing it to 40Hz/40 FPS will increase battery to well over 2 hours.

NMS Is a great game that constantly receives content updates and the controllers feel great on the Steam Deck. It's a must pick up when on sale.
