My Thoughts:
I think I just witnessed the next wave in VR titles and the bar has well and truly been raised! - This was superb!
The game has great graphics, atmosphere, enemies, animations, sound, music and game design.
It's still in early access and only Part 1 of the adventure is currently available. The developer has told me the game is finished and its in early access to allow him to add further polish and also any features the community would like to see in the game. Currently only part 1 of the game is available and its around 2 hours in gameplay. He said there is much more to come.
Myself and a good VR friend of mine both agreed, that this has a really cool 'Turok' vibe. It reminded me of the 1st time I ever played 'Turok' on the N64.
I'm constantly on the lookout for cool single player experience in VR as these are my favourite genres and I think I've just found one. If I had anything negative to say about this game so far it would be the lack of haptic feedback on the Touch Controllers whenever you attack with the swords and the lack of boundaries. It's wise not to wander too far off the beaten path as you can still clip into scenery and walls. This is hoping to get fixed in the next few days. It would also be nice to get feedback on the weapons for the Touch as they look so powerful. I was expecting some kick-back, but never got it.
Apart from those minor gripes I cannot wait to get back into this amazing world so keep and eye on this one guys!
