Prince Harry and Meghan Markle refuse to give up this royal tradition.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have given up their royal status, but they are prepared to uphold one royal custom for the benefit of their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex primarily relocated from the United Kingdom to California for "a normal life," but royal biographer Tom Quinn now believes that Harry refuses to abandon a certain etiquette from his privileged background.
In an interview with the Mirror, the author argues that sending their children to the best private school is a must for Harry and Meghan.
"One of Meghan's difficulties when she was a working royal living in the UK was her lack of experience of dealing with staff so in Montecito she has kept paid staff to an absolute minimum, but if she's avoiding the Royal tradition of paying people to do the childcare, she's certainly sticking to the Royal tradition of sending children to elite schools," said Tom.
He went on to say, "Lily is going to a private school that costs $60,000 a year. There were early rumors that Meghan and Harry may send their children to a nearby state school, but this was never really considered. It appeared as if the pair was attempting to be as conventional as possible, but no one was deceived."
"Harry would not risk his children's education in anything other than an elite environment." Tom determined that choosing an exceptional school is very much in line with royal family tradition.
