Princess Anne honours black South Africans killed in WW1
144The Princess Royal has unveiled The Cape Town Labour Corps Memorial in South Africa.
Princess Anne paid respect to the 1,700 military labourers who perished marking their vital but long-overlooked role in military operations.
"This memorial is a reminder of a shared but sometimes difficult past and it is also a demonstration that, with honesty, openness and working together, we can make a difference," said Princess Anne.
