11Hey Everyone, we are here at AutoFX WA to chat with Des the Owner of this West Australian owned and operated business that has been supporting car owners, collectors and car clubs for over 20 years now. Plus he has a massive range of Australian produced products called Optix that are exclusive to his business.
Des started as a mobile Car Detailer travelling from one clients house to another protecting the owners pride and joys. He got to point where he wanted to do more bigger jobs for his clients and invested in a workshop location to offer even more services. Such as Corrective Paint, Ceramic Coating, Paint Protective Films, Caliper painting, Guard Rolling and so much more.
They sell wick self healing paint protection film that will protect your muscle car or classic, that if scratched, will heal itself in the sun. Its an amazing product and one worth looking at.
Des also offers Training Course for Car Owners want to detail their own cars but with expert knowledge on how to do it, what equipment is needed and the products best for the job. That way the owner can detail their own muscle cars for shows. The training goes for 1.5 to 2 hours and cost $250, but you will be confident that know what you are doing instead of winging it.

Des has been working on various projects, like these one. He is doing a Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating for this C Red SiL80 for the new owner that just purchase the vehicle from a well know JDM builder. This Silvia is a stunning and was a race car designed. It has been features in Hot 4 magazines and more.

The SLR5000 Torana is getting the guards rolled to stop the rear tyres from rubbing on the flares on the guards. Des will have to cut out part of the fender and work the metal to make this perfect for the owner to Drive.

This VK Commodore is getting Watermarks, scratches and swirled detailed out of the paint work and this vehicle looks like glass now its that good.
Chatting with Ben - Store Manager
Ben has been working with AutoFX WA for 5 years and is the Store Manager looking after Store Stock, Customers and Customer Training Courses, which is loves doing. He is legal blind with only 20-30% of his eye left and other medical issues, but he does not let anything stop him.
Ben has been in the Car Scene in WA since he was a teenage helping with charity events, car club events and insurance through Shannons. He gets out to every event he can and loves being involved.
Ben looks after selling the Optix products to customers and giving the best advice on what to use. The best sellers in the Store are the Optix Final Boost, Optix PH Neutral Shampoo and Optix Iron Remover. He's advice to car owners is use two bucket method with grid guards, micro fibre wash mits, micro fibre dry clothes and PH Neutral Shampoos. But don't stress, Ben will let you know what to use.
