Trophy Tip: I can only speak from personal experience, but for me the "close application" trick is completely useless - often I would hit pause with lightning reflexes (or so I reckon๐ค) before the screen went black, closed the application, clicked on "Upload/Download saved data" and the timestamp would be the exact current time, effectively meaning that the game had already autosaved thereby voiding the trophy. This happened about 5 or 6 times out of the approximately 8 to 10 times I died in the run. For it to work it needs to work 100% of the time, which it clearly doesn't. I personally believe there is no "close application" method at all, because the way the game is coded there is a discrepancy in the time it takes for the screen to go dark when you die which clearly has something to do with autosaving, possibly being that it only occurs when you die due to enemy attacks, or due to falling off the screen, or vice versa, or dying while enemies are still on-screen (which is typically when there is a delay before the screen goes black compared to when there are no enemies left on screen), or something like that. What probably happened is some guy died, closed the application, it worked, and so he tells the interwebz "hey guys this works!"๐คฆ๐ผ For a method to work it needs to work 100% of the time and clearly it doesn't, you need to redownload your PS+ saved data each time, that is the only true foolproof method for this trophy.
