10The year is 2113 - Protoball is a futuristic sports shooter. Protoball blends FPS/TPP shooting mechanics with sports game play. Players athletically jump, slide, run, grind, and dash their way around the arena trying to pass the Protoball through their opponents goal. Players can shoot curve balls, passes, bounce shots, fake-outs and more.
Shoot your opponent with your holographic energy shield, or use the shield to deflect the ball. Many players can save goals from going in by shooting the shield from afar. Your skill and creativity is the only real limit.
We are currently still in early development, and our vision for Protoball is grand. In addition to the core sports mode we have Dodgeball and some other fun game modes (they may come and go). Protoball will have endless cosmetic DLC and customizable. We're currently in Open Beta and we're starting to add more customizable content in August 2021.
Protoball will host official leagues and tournaments with high frequency. We're building Protoball from the ground up to be an eSport that hardcore and casual gamers alike can enjoy. We will always listen to, and value, our player base. Together we want to make Protoball the best that it can be. If you join the discord and ask any of the OG Playtesters you'll find that we've incorporated and implemented many of the community's suggestions and ideas. You can help too!
