This is rough sample prototype arrangement for concept for a future arranged album.
Rough arrangements are for concept only, consisting of low-quality samples, and may not have been entirely mixed or panned. They exist to demonstrate the arrangement planned for the future Might and Magic I~V arranged album consisting of combination of high-quality sample libraries and/or live instruments.
The quality of the tones/samples in light of mixing and making them more realistic could have been done, but I see no reason to spend that type of time when the entire prototype would be planned to be redone from scratch anyway for a final version...
This unused cue was originally composed for the SEGA Genesis version of King's Bounty to herald a visit with the king at the start of the game. Since most of the soundtrack was omitted from that version of the game (likely due to catridge space limitations), it was then planned to be used in the PC version of Might and Magic III seemingly for the similiar purpose of visiting one of the kings, but utimately went unused. A second version of "Audience with the King" was composed by Tim Tully, but this second version too was scrapped (with only a brief snipet of the end finally being heard in Might and Magic IV.)
Note: The intended game version features an additional cymbal crash at the end that was not part of Tim Tully's original files. This was probably added by the sound programmer. (I did include it in the arrangement.)
