Prototype guide: How to fix the "Game Crashes; Will Not Load Saved Games" bug.

If this guide still doesn't work: Have you done the usual?

1. Check for malware. If there are, clean your PC.
2. Update your graphic card drivers.
3. Update your other drivers.
4. Check if there are any 3rd-party programs that are interfering with the game.
5. If you've the Steam copy, verify the integrity of the game's cache. ( https://youtu.be/Fh3QFnyngug?t=2m51s )
6. If you've an HDD, defragment it.
7. Run CCLeaner and restart.
8. If all else fails, reinstall Prototype.

This all assumes you've a legit copy of course. Cracked ones sometimes do carry with them a host of problems.

PLEASE NOTE: I can't provide technical support if your PC goes up in smoke following the steps above. :( Should be safe though; those are perfectly mundane tasks I've been doing since 2004. Never had a glitch arising from those.
