PS3 Emulation Test [PS1] - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
So I just bought a PS3! I have literally no intentions of playing PS3 games on it with the exception of one or two RPGS (and MGS4). I bought it to play PS1 in glorious detail as my PS2 makes them look awful on my TV thanks to my composite cables. As some of you may have noticed I am also using a SCART TO HDMI upscaler on my PS2 which I have used for my Crash Bandicoot 2 playthrough. It's a decent upscaler but is very hit and miss with some games. The PS3 actually does a really good job of upscaling PS1 games. I am pleasantly suprised with it.
I am not sure if I am going to keep the PS3 though, I bought it second hand (the old phat model) and have been running into problems with it already. The HDMI port on it refuses to work so I have to use composite cables and it has a tendancy to freeze every now and again.
I have a warranty on it so I might bring it back and get one of those 'cheap' slim PS3 models.
