IMPORTANT: Don't use a powered external hard drive with a USB hub. I recently bought a 4TB external hard drive from Seagate, but it had a hub and the PS4 wouldn't allow me to use it for external storage. Fortunately, I had my existing Western Digital My Book that was 3TB that I was able to use for the PS4 external storage.

In this video I hook up the external hard drive, move game applications from the PS4 hard drive to the external drive, and run those moved game applications!
