The latest major system update for PS5 consoles (7.0) is now rolling out worldwide, with a number of handy features included, like Discord Voice Chat integration, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support for 1440p resolution output, and the ability to update a DualSense wireless controller without plugging it in.
While these features are fairly minor, they should improve the overall console experience on PS5, while making it easier for everyone to hop into party sessions to play with friends, and share their favourite games.
For those in the United States and the United Kingdom, the latest update also brings a new, beta Voice Command feature, with video clips of gameplay now controllable by voice alone. Saying, ‘Hey PlayStation, capture that!’ for example, will save a video clip of recent gameplay. This feature is likely to be rolled out globally in the coming months.
